BIOGRAPHY

James McCreavy is an accomplished guitarist-composer who has performed with a wide range of performing artists from saxophonist, Boots Randolph (Yakkety Sax), to Perry Como. His versatility has made it possible for him to become a busy 'live and session artist and has given him the opportunity to work with such great players as tenor man, Dave Hubbard (George Benson, Ray Charles), legendary multi instrumentalist, Ira Sullivan, organist, Dr.Lonnie Smith and even comedian Jeff Foxworthy.He also worked as musical director and guitarist for Clarence Clemons (saxophonist with Bruce Springsteen).

Some of his performances have been in the highest of society circles, including celebrations for dignitaries, Ambassadors, Heads of State and even Princes Charles and Edward. As well as playing with world class musicians, he has played for many world class audiences.

Though his roots are R&B and jazz, James is very comfortable playing in a variety settings, including shows, television and concerts. He has worked with many of the finest society orchestras in the United States, including, The Neal Smith Orchestra, Mike Carney, Lester Lanin and Bob Hardwick. He has toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada and The Caribbean. He has several CDs under his own name, including, Night Vision, which contains many of his own compositions and features: steel drummer, Othello Molineaux; drummer, Russ Miller; multi-instrumentalist, Ira Sullivan and saxophonist, John Michalak. His latest solo CD, Later Moods, is a collection of American Standards with one original, Scattered Blues.
